Chiropractic Care for Animals is a drug free approach to pet health care and can improve our animal companion’s health and quality of life. In conjunction with regular veterinary care, chiropractic care can decrease pain, and add quality to your animal's performance, movement, and well being. All animals regardless of their age can benefit from periodic chiropractic check ups. The adjustments are gentle and most animals noticeably enjoy their treatment. We see dogs and horses most frequently but any animal can benefit - including cats, rabbits and even elephants!

Dogs that have suffered any kind of trauma invariably experience decreases in flexibility and mobility. This includes not only animal that have a had a major traumatic event, such as being hit by a car, but also more minor events such as falling on a slippery surface or colliding with another dog during playing. In all these instances chiropractic care is needed to restore flexibility and minimize future spinal problems.
Agility and obedience dogs need regular chiropractic care to restore their flexibility and to achieve and maintain peak performance. Activities such as jumping hurdles, attention heeling and leash corrections place additional stresses on the competition dog’s spine and limbs leading to loss of spinal and limb joint mobility. Most of these dogs will be asymptomatic except for subtle signs. Many behaviors for example, hesitation or reluctance to jump, failure to maintain attention while heeling that often are ascribed to unwillingness to work, can be caused by chiropractic problems.

Horse owners may notice that their horse has suffered a decline in performance. Your horse may be 'cold-backed', stiff or evade certain movements. They may carry their tail to one side or swing a hind leg more prominently. Your horse may find certain transitions more difficult or generally have become more irritable. These traits can be caused by chiropractic problems.
Horse don't just have themselves to balance. They also carry the weight of a rider and saddle. The rider may notice that they are being carried unevenly - or even suspect that their own posture is affecting their horse's performance. Chiropractic care may be needed to restore flexibility and balance.
